August 26, 2022, Shenzhen, China. MonsterAdapter officially released firmware v03 for Nikon F-mount to Sony E-mount adapter LA-FE1. Firmware v03 of LA-FE1 now adds new focus drive algorithm: G Driver, which improves the autofocus performance of F-mount lenses on Sony mirrorless cameras (including AF-S single AF and AF-C continuous AF tracking). According to our tests, the focusing speed is shortened by about 25% on average, and the maximum can be shortened by about 60%. November 21, 2022, MonsterAdapter is pleased to release the v07 firmware of Minolta/Sony A-mount adapter modification product LA-EA4r. In the new firmware, an upgraded focusing algorithm is provided: G Driver II. Some of 8 contacts lenses might short the battery in some case while hot swapping. If it happens, the Z Type batteries might got locked. To unlock it is easy: put the locked battery into wall charger and charge it for at least 10 seconds, then it would be back. But, the old FW50 batteries do not have protection circuit, the worst situation is it might brick the camera.   To avoid this, please make sure your camera is off when you try to swap the lens. After conversion, the shortcut menu of camera will have Manual Focus option disabled. Manual Focus mode could be enabled with a customized bottom. Pick any bottom you feel handy, set it as AF/MF switch in camera settings. Press once to enter MF mode, one more press will bring AF back.
